Poultry Shipments:

*Delivery option: I make several trips throughout several states during the year...if I have an upcoming trip planned near you, we might be able to work out delivery for a lower rate than shipping through the post office.  Contact me for more info.

Shipping of young mature and adult birds is available. No shipping on baby birds, sorry.  All birds are shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS) Express Mail  Shipments are made according to weather conditions. I can ship to most locations without any problem.  Sorry, no shipping to Virginia or Hawaii.  (Virginia customers might be able to pick-up or meet me on one of my other delivery trips.) Yes, shipping to Alaska is even possible (I've sent two shipments there over the past few years). If for some reason I am not able to ship to your location after you have purchased birds from me, I will refund your payment promptly.

There are no guarantees on any livestock or poultry.  Once a bird leaves my possession, it is the buyer's responsibility and buyer assumes all risk. For additional sales related information, please read MCHF's Sales Policy.

I try to ship all birds on schedule, however, there may sometimes be a shipping delay due to circumstances beyond my control.  If shipping is delayed, I will notify you of the delay and let you know when I anticipate trying to ship your birds again.

The shipping rates I charge are a flat fee based on the type and number of birds that are to be shipped, regardless of the destination.  The shipping rates below include postage, new Horizon shipping boxes with Biofilters, and bedding (and if there's anything left over after that, it goes towards my gas, time spent preparing the birds for shipment, and going to the post office). Again, these are flat rates regardless of the destination, whether it's a few miles away in WV, or 1000's of miles away in Alaska. Flat rates make it much easier to calculate postage than trying to determine exact rates, overcharging, or issuing refunds. I do not make any refunds, nor do I charge more if there is a difference in the amount of the actual postage and the prices below.  Sometimes the shipping is more than what I charge, and sometimes it's less. If you think there's a problem with me charging for my gas & time spent taking the birds to the post office, then you are more than welcome to come pick up your birds or look elsewhere.  I don't ship birds for my health---it is a service offered to my customers that are not within driving distance. If you break the per-bird cost down, it's much cheaper to ship multiple birds at one time, rather than just 1 bird per box.

***NOTE***Due to the high costs involved with shipping turkeys & Brahmas, it might be cheaper to have me deliver them to you rather than shipping them to you...it just depends on how many birds you want and how far away you are.  Feel free to contact me to discuss turkey shipping/delivery options.
